Finally Google announced the version 1.0 of Android Studio in December 8, 2014. Android Studio is the official Integrated Development Environment (IDE) from the Android team. It is built on the popular IntelliJ IDEA (Community Edition) Java IDE.
As Google recommends switching to Android Studio for Android application development we’ve decided to move all our android projects from Eclipse to Android Studio.
Though the Android studio was announced more than a year ago at the Google I/0 2013 Conference, it was available as beta only. So we were not sure about it’s future. So we stuck through the Eclipse till date. Now that the first stable version has been released we’ve switched to the new IDE. After all it’s new year 2015, so it should be new IDE. New projects will be made using the new features introduced with the IDE, taking advantage of the fast paced development.
Soon we’ll be releasing the new version of all our apps / games made so far. Ours will be version 2.0 off course.
